A 146 kW solar power system was recently completed on the rooftop at the Livingston High School in the Livingston School District. Livingston High School is proud to announce that it already receives the majority of its power from the onsite solar power installation unit. The panels are projected to generate over 168,130.00 kWh of electricity annually. The installation is expected to save the district more than $20,000.00 annually and will provide a carbon offset of 2743 metric tons per year. The solar system at the Livingston High School will produce approximately 168 SREC’S annually, which are currently valued at approximately $84,065.00. When the project was awarded to EMSA Solar LLC the work at the school started immediately after signing the contract with Livingston School District. Soltech modules, Solectria PVI inverters and Sunlink (non-penetrating ballasted) racking were used at all the school locations. Power WOW sustainability management systems and monitoring systems from DECK Monitoring were further used for the solar system.
